I raise to $4 in CO. I get called by button and the BB. BB is our chief villain, and while I didn't have any specific notes on him, he was playing with solid-regular-like stats; 23/18/5 over 150 hands. Just slightly over 100BB stacks.

Pot is $12, flop comes J-9-8, two clubs. He bets $8. I have AA, but no club. I call, button folds.

Turn is another 8 (not club). He bets $22 into a $30 pot. QT is in his range, as are sets. But so is JT, and I just counterfeited that. I'm confused. This could be a protection bet with AJ if he thinks I have a club draw or a straight draw. It could also be a draw itself. All in all, I think I beat more than half of his range here and I get to see what he does on the river.

The river bricks off (I think it was an offsuit 5). He shoves his remaining $65 or whatever into the ~$75 pot. I desperately start to look for the timer button but can't find it because apparently Party doesn't do timer buttons.

I almost time out before I make a "$@£#-it" call.

Good?

Well, there aren't a ton of hands you could get value-towned by. JJ, 99, QT, T7, possibly 8T.
I think he has a busted draw often enough to make this a call.

I think I find a call here b/c as you say we beat a fair proportion of his range with the turn card. You have also under repped your hand here, so it's a decent spot for him to bluff as well tbh. The more I think about it this could be fist pump, then they turn over QT or J8, wtf!

Is r/r flop out of the question? Is that flop just too wet to make that play profitable against this villain?

BTW FP how you likin Party, when I was playing there early this year, it was soo fishy?

I don't raise the flop because I don't want to be shoved on. A strong draw is even a favorite over me and the board just hit both him and possibly button's range pretty hard.

It's really fishy at Party, yeah. Table selection is really not an issue, and I almost find it to be softer than Stars. It's definitely a step-up from betway, and I don't regret leaving that site at all. I have some issues with their software, but so far it's still on the "manageable annoyance" and not the "ripping-my-hair-out-and-cry-tears-of-blood" level.

i like the line and i'm calling river because all the draws missed, your hand is very under-represented, and he's mostly repping something that crushed the flop. a lot of players won't lead into the PFR when they're that strong (although it's obviously not out of the question)
