Villain is a 15/11/2.9 nit but contests postflop quite a bit. 50% ffb, a few check-raises...I've been pretty aggro, somewhere between 30/17 and 24/20, not sure.

Any merit to shoving over/floating his ch-r or am I crossing the spewage line?

I float here like its my job. Only if our image is absolutely terrible and we have no fold equity, and we've already got in some big, bloody pots with villain do I let this go. We have enough behind that we can jam any spade/J/T and get some fold equity. I wish our gutshot were a little better concealed tho.

Btw, why not check back the flop if he's aggro?

I see several reasons for not checking this back.

1. No Showdown value

2. We lose all fold equity vs. small pairs

3. Our draw isnt exactly great, so getting forced off it shouldn't be too big of a concern.

Folding or calling are both pretty ok here, depending on villain and image it could go either way.

A 15/11 cold calling from SB, most of the time you'll be facing a set here I guess. I think that makes shoving over quite spewy.

I don't dislike a call here. If he does have a set you nearly have decent implied odds to chase your gutshot on the turn. On the other hand, floating could be costly when a blank hits the turn. Is villain capable to double barrel air here or to check-raise with a set? If so, you could be in real trouble on the turn.

As played I'd call and see if we improve. Backdoor spades is a help, and if he DOES have a set and you hit the 9, you're getting his stack, I would think. He might be trying to protect an underplayed 99 or TT too.
