Villain is relatively poor LAG with 45/20/3, I'm TAG 20/18/2.

Line check please. Are we playing for stacks, or pot control?

Random thoughts, in no particular order:

1. I like timing tells in these spots. If he snapcalls the flop, I'm betting the turn and am playing for stacks. If there's a delay, I check behind. I think it's actually so close between the two that you can let timing be the divider.

2. The Q is a good card, because it reduces the likelyhood of him having a AQ, and it wasn't a club. Your hand is a bit stronger, now.

3. He seems aggressive, and could have been taking a look at what you'll do on the turn. I see this line pretty often with 77-99 with villains like the one you're describing. In that case, checking behind and letting him bluff you is awesome.

4. Playing for stacks when he doesn't snap call seems wild to me, because we're basically banking on him to be willing to go there with us with AT or worse after thinking about it.

Villain really needs to be exceedingly bad to accept playing for stacks with less than TP 3rd kicker. I prefer giving at least some credit. I check behind on turn, call a turn bet or bet for value if he checks again.

Usually, I am not a fan of 3-betting a hand that plays so well against his raising range and hits so many flops. That said, we're on the button, and he's a bad lag, so he could probably call with worse then. So I think I like it.

I check turn almost always (altho, he pretty much never has AK).
