This is for value.

Stats on villain: 86/31/58%(3.4) over 277 hands.
Fold to c-bet = 50%

BTN: $76.55 (76.6 bb)
Hero (SB): $168.82 (168.8 bb)
BB: $82.54 (82.5 bb)
UTG: $196.50 (196.5 bb)
MP: $60.69 (60.7 bb)
CO: $180.19 (180.2 bb)

Pre-Flop: Hero is SB with 6 6♠
UTG folds, MP calls $1, CO folds, BTN calls $1, Hero raises to $5.50, BB folds, MP calls $4.50, BTN calls $4.50

Flop: ($17.50) 8♠ 5 8 (3 players)
Hero bets $11.25, MP calls $11.25, BTN folds

Turn: ($40) Q (2 players)
Hero checks, MP bets $20, Hero raises to $100, MP has $23.94 left behind.

It seemed like the right thing to do at the time... thoughts?

At first glance I thought it was way too ridiculously thin to ever be +EV but a second look at it makes me think its alot closer. This villain is obv calling with any 5, 8, Q or other pair and also probably with all his possible straight draws (67, 96, 64, 9T, JT etc.).

So if this is a reasonable calling range to put him on, which I think it is given villains stats and remaining stack, then I like the raise alot.

Looks good, even though I would have put him in right away instead of checking.
If he's bluffy/floaty, checking is better.

Against this villain i like. Beating bottom pair is the nutz, obviously.

86/31/58%(3.4)

To put that in perspective, I have about a 39% aggression percentage, and I would probably say I'm sorta floaty/bluffy. Hence why I love aggression percentage. A 3.4 AF seems high, but its not crazy. A 58% aggression frequency is absolutely bat-shit insane.

I don't want to get too offtopic, but what does aggression frequency mean exactly?

It's a % of how often someone makes an aggressive action on a street. So, making a bet and a call on the same street still counts towards an aggressive action. For instance :

Flop :

P1 - Bet
P2 - Raise
P1 - Call

Turn :

P1 - Check
P2 - Bet
P1 - Call

River :

P1 - Check
P2 - Bet
P1 - Fold

P1 would have an AFq% of 33% and P2 would be 100%. IMO, it is a much more informative statistic than standard Aggression Factor.

Thanks, I'm gonna have to look into this then. I used to only display AF.
