i have a tight-weak image because im so card dead. the two villians that arent all in are both very loose-agg, but are smart enough to stop at my entering a pot, usually. is this just me being loose-agg or playing the players?

I don't know about this play joose.

Yes, you do have an image as tight-weak, but a lot of people don't pay attention to table images.

And its just, the river card, isn't really the most ideal card to bluff at. If you were going play the players and make a move at this pot, you have to realize that you're going to need the proper scare card to do it with.

3 on the river? Do you really think they have you on a slow played set that just rivered into a full house, or a A5 suited? I don't think the 3 is going to scare anyone here. I think someone with even AQ might call you down here; your $45 river bet is like screaming "Please don't call me, I'm bluffing with nothing."

I hope it worked out for you, but I don't think it was the right play here. You're idea was right, but the board didn't come out ideally on the turn or the river for you to play like it helped you that much. $45 seems like overbet, bluff, trying to win side pot to me.

Anyways, hope you still pushed them off their hands.

the 3 had nothing to do with it. the overcall is what won me the pot. tight weak staying in the pot = gtfo

I don't mind this at all as much as Mischman does. What's really cool about it, regardless of if it works, is that you're forced to show down your hand (since one player is all-in) and therefore everyone will see what cards you decided to play.

The $9 overcall on the flop is standard. With five outs to two pair, making a 10:1 call isn't really that big of a deal.

Calling the flop all-in, however, isn't good and I don't think we can justify that no matter how we try. From there on out, it's all good, imho, though.

well if those other guys dont call, im getting 3:1~ on my money, and in many cases it will be a strong ace/king pushing, in which we are coinflipping (or better of the two people who called my pfr had broadway cards.) if he has a strong pair, 45s is the best we can hope to have.

anyway the other 2 folded on the river (i was about 90% sure this would happen. they noted my weak tight-ness and anytime i was in the pot post flop i would get no action from them) so the sidepot broke me even if i lost to the main dude. he ended up having AK and i pwned

Had one of them called or you lost to the all in, there was no way you would of posted this hand for fear of getting flamed

a/x, weakish/decent top pair, flush draw, med pp, other suited connector. their ranges are pretty huge because of how loose they are preflop.
