$1000 NL HE Full Ring: What would your play be?
Ok guys I am going to put up an interesting hand I was faced with todday in the casino.
The game is 5/10 NL Hold 'Em
I am UTG
Villian(opponent) is in the BB.
I was dealt AJ off so i upped it to 40$.
Folded around to villian who went into the tank for at least 5 minutes. He then raised to 220. I thought this was a standard raise for AK, QQ, or JJ. So I just flat called to take a look at the flop.
Flop came Ks Qd 10h.
Perfect flop. Nut straight with a rainbow flop. No flush draws.
I check hoping to trap but villian also checks. Very interesting.
Turn is another K.
Scary card so I bet out 280 which is about half the pot. Villian then shoves with a little over 500 left in his stack.
First lets look at the pot odds.
It will be 500 into a pot of a shy over 1500. So getting 3:1 to call.
However lets remember his action. Reraise preflop. Check the flop.
This means only one of two things at these llimits. He flopped a set and tried to slow play it or had an underpair like 7s or 8s perhaps.
Before I post my thoughts, and my conclusion, I would like to hear other inputs. So lets get going everyone......What do you think I should do, and what is Villians hand?
