$1000 NLHE Full Ring: two pairs facing a huge open shove
Hey fellows would appreciate if you guys can give me some opinions on what I should have done in this hand.
Background: I was sitting with a stack of around 1700, been playing a TAG game, won a couple of pots without showdown. Villan just won a huge pot a couple orbits before with he re-raised a nut flush draw on the flop and called the shove by his opponent who was holding a set. He sucked out on the river and was the chip leader with around 3000-3500. Other than this hand I havent seen any of his hole cards. From my observation, he was pretty tight preflop.
Villan opened UTG+1 for 60 and 4 opponents including myself on the button with K4s. Flop came K J 4 rainbow. Villan led 180 and I smoothed, figuring I could slow play him and extract more value from him if he has Aces or Ak.
However, to my shock, the turn came a 6 and he instant put me all in. The pot was only 600ish on the flop and I still had around 1400 left. Got me so befuddled. To me, it looks like he either has a desperate pair of aces (or maybe AK, less likely) or he had a set of jacks and he is putting me on a big hand.
I eventually mucked but I would appreciate any comments.
