I think you have to bet here. Don't love it as he obv has a very strong range given his nitty stats, and high Fold to 3Bet % but I like it alot more then check/calling.

I prolly bet small here something like half pot and whether its a bet/fold or bet/call just depends some postflop numbers (aggression factor etc.).

Fold pre, he's a nit in general, and probably something like 5/5 in EP. If you're gonna 3-bet bluff, do it with better hands than AQ.

I don't really mind the squeeze. I probably do it too to try to isolate the fish. When UTG+2 flats here id be pretty sure you can put him on 4 different hands. JJ, QQ, AK, and AA. Maybe he is set mining thinking the fish will probably come along too, but its not as likely. KK is not here b/c not too many people flat KK in position, especially with the fish in the hand b/c they are afraid of an A flopping. QQ, JJ, and AK are in his range b/c he is too scared to stack them pre.

Given villains range, I think ch/calling is the best option b/c by betting we get him to fold AK and JJ and he stacks QQ and AA. Checking allows him to bluff at the pot or lets him maybe think his JJ is good.

fwiw, the 3bet is a half bluff half for value. Since the OR will fold a ton, where as the drooler is also likely to call a ton. So its more of a isolating the fish with a hand in a 3b pot, instead of looking to just squeeze pre just for the sake of taking the possible dead money

I'm not sure the %70 f3b is completely applicable here since his utg range will be much tighter, and so will his f to 3b.

I can find some folds even in 6max with AQ vs tight EP raisers, but almost never when there's a fish this big in the middle. Not sure just how tight FR players get in EP, so I'm not sure exactly what to say about the squeeze.

As played I think I agree with bw. Basically it's TT+ here (KK argument is fair, but we can't completely exclude it), some smaller pairs that were going for a multiway setmine, and AK in there too, though I'd expect that to jam pf most of the time right?

I hate using this term now, but it's basically wa/wb on the flop. He's not paying off much worse (maybe JJ) if we bet, and might turn his underpairs/AK/whatever else into bluffs. I think we ch-c once and probably give up on the turn.

A nit is almost always flatting AK here at FR after his EP raise gets 3bet by the blinds.

i agree with zach. Fold preflop. I doubt we're ahead of the original raiser to begin with, and playing AQ oop against a decent player with a strong range means huge reverse implied odds when we get called. Much worse than the immediate FE we have.

Once we do squeeze, i agree with bw postflop. Try to get some money from AK/JJ and not to spew to much to AA/QQ. Although with the fish still in the hand when the original raiser calls our squeeze, he may actually also have some weaker hands there too hoping to get proper odds when the fish comes along, but those weaker hands are pretty much the same as JJ from our point of view, so bw's analysis stands.

In this particular situation, you should have already folded. But now that your in the hand... try a small bet and see what happens. If your raised a good amount then get off the hand.

try a small bet and see what happens. If your raised a good amount then get off the hand.

Could you elaborate on that? What makes you think that line works?

What range do you put villain on?

What part of villain's range do you think he folds to your small bet?
What part of his range do you think he flats to your small bet?
What part of his range do you think he raises with?

And finally, what are your plans for turn if called?

As an bonus, what range of hands do YOU play similarly (bet small/fold to raise) ?
