Live cash game. UTG3 and BB are BF/GF or husband/wife (not sure). They play a lot of free bar poker, which I have played with them, but I've never played cash with them. UTG3 is decent player, SB is a little reckless.

UTG1:
UTG2:
UTG3: 150$
MP1:
MP2:
CO:
BTN:
SB: 120$
BB:105$ (Hero)

Hero : As9s

UTG3 calls, SB calls, BB calls.

Flop: TdJcQh

UTG bets 3$, SB calls, BB calls

Turn: Kd

SB checks BB checks, UTG bets allin, SB calls, BB ???

The rake is 10% up to 6$ (for house) plus 10% up to 2$ (for a hi hand every 3 hours).

I thought if I call this at best I would be splitting, and since the two other players in the pot were BF/GF... They do like to play any suited A also, so the 2nd diamond on the turn had me worried.

Not a very good player so you should take this with a grain of salt...

If UTG3 is a decent player would he not have raised preflop with AA, KK, QQ, JJ, TT, AK, AQ, AJ, AT? He might've called with a low pair, Ax, KQ, KJ, KT, QJ etc. down to JT. So that means the highest card you can put him on preflop is Ax on the flop.

Once the flop comes up he's hit three cards all within his range. A bet of 3 suggests either top pair weak kicker or bottom pair weak kicker, but the all in on the turn probably means 2-pair.

So, call. Even if you split it doesn't really matter. UTG has two pair most likely and SB is reckless so might be calling with a wide range. Which means at worst you'll be splitting UTG's chips.

I call I think. Unlikely they are both holding an ace but one probably is so we're putting in $100 to win $50. If we presume one doesn't have an ace we're getting odds of 1/2. We can presume at least one is on a FD so if that is the non ace FD then we've got the odds.

UTG3 had A7s diamonds, SB A7s clubs. I folded and river was a low non diamond.. they split.

also bet the turn.
The action went something like I originally posted, I think I did bet out on the turn and the utg3 repopped allin or something.. I can't quiet recall as I waited a week after the hand to post.

I just felt that at best I was splitting, and depending on river I could lose to a flush, which I probably shouldn't be worrying about.

Am I missing something obvious?

Are you considering folding the nuts on the turn to two all ins because of the rake? Does the "little reckless" SSB never get his/her money in with top two or the sucker straight here?

If you are not calling this on the turn you should have folded on the flop. If you are worried about rake you effectively paid most of it after your flop call/turn fold.

I am honestly puzzled.

So you are also considering collusion as a reason to fold the nuts?

Is there a camera somewhere in here?

lol no they werent colluding. i just imagined a river diamond and losing to a flush, or the maniac had 2 pair and losing to a rivered boat... so at best i was splitting if not losing to a better hand on the river. and thought since the only people with money in the pot were the 3 in the hand that we would just lose to rake if we split.

lol what major contradiction.
So either they both have an ace and you split or one has two pair and boats up always so you either split or loose.
Do you see why that makes no sense?

If the fact that they're married and maniacs make it even more likely that one doesn't have the nuts, it makes it an even easier call.

you can fold here in Omaha, but not in HE.
