Hero: ~$150
Villain: ~$110 (VPIP: 18.50, PFR: 15.26, 3Bet Preflop: 9.09, hands: 113)

Hero in the SB with pocket 5s. Villain in the BTN opened to $4. Hero and the BB called. 3 ways to the flop.

flop 5 9 8 all hearts. Both checked to the Villain, Villain bet $10. Hero re-raised to $27, BB folded, Villain over the top to $60 ??? Closed my eyes and shoved hoping to see KK or AA with a heart. He turned over K10 of hearts and turn and river bricked.

Not sure what to make of my play. Didnt think slow playing a bottom set on a monotone and straight board oop is the way to go. But once I raised the flop bet I am pretty much going with it?

Any insights is much appreciated!

I would 3-bet pre against a villain like this or fold. I do not think it is +EV to setmine against only him OOP because most likely he will not pay off if you hit and you will have to fold on almost every flop. His stats look quite solid.
