Why no flop raise? His small bets pre and post make it hard to get it in without raising somewhere in the hand.

The rest seems pretty standard.

Funny how he's betting that river.

What did he have?

The hand is fine as played.

No. He called $13 to win $65 (5:1 pot + implied odds). He had 6 outs to a better hand (7.3:1 odds). That won't show a long term profit.

i am really having a hard time making profit out of cash tables because of hands like this...

what am i supposed to make of these hands? just call it bad luck and move on? because a couple of hands like this can kill a long and profitable session in no time. and that is exactly what is f**king happening all the f**king time. if is doesn't happen in a session and i somehow get to keep my profits then hands like this come right up in the very beginning of next session. it is all so dramatic.

don't know how you can play this....but in this situation you lost the minimum, so it's fine :D

maybe 3beting flop and then shoving turn was a good move. but i have tried that in similar situations before. people usually fold to 3bets on flop most of the time and that leaves me with a small pot to win with such good hands. and you don't obviously flop a set too often so i had to get the maximum out of this board with a dry flop like that. so i decided to let him hit two pair or something on the turn and see it through till the river.

my point is why the odds are favoring the weaker players so much? most of the time i end up losing hands where i hit set on a dry board with running f**king cards on turn and river... i'd show you more hand history but what's the point. i mean i am f**king done with cash tables here. i'll just focus on tournaments.

I liked how you played it.

Pretty safe flop for your set, flatting is fine imo.

The turn bet also is fine, and so is his call.

River is just unlucky.

Honestly you played the hand pretty standard, and I don't think I would have played it any differently.

River I actually think I may fold ~30% of the time here. Don't think he is value betting Kx here. 9s make sense, 910, 8s,6s all make sense. Your hand is so strong though. Live reads here is what would save me.

Fyi, you'd be 2-betting the flop, not 3-betting.

But any ways, I think you played it fine. You lost, but that's going to happen sometimes. :)

I completely know your pain and this is what I am dealing with right now too. When there are draw possibilities ya gotta just be aggressive. I understand your pain w/ only getting folds on a re-raise on the flop, but hey, would you rather get a small pot here or lose what ya lost goin gto showdown? Winning a small pot on the flop! Also, FIND THAT FOLD ON RIVER AS PLAYED. YA GOTTA.
