$100 NL HE Full Ring: $100 NL HE: KK, good board, versus big river re-raise

Opponent is 25/11/1.5

Decent board... I checked the turn as I thought another barrel may scare them off, so I wanted to show some weakness... Then the re-raise on the river...

I would definately bet the turn for value. As played on the river, I'd probably fold. Unless you have a read that he might spazz out with like 2nd pair or AsQs or something, or has a huge river aggression. He seems mostly passive though from your stats on him.

This is a weird spot, I think you have to fold because no one is going to bluff like this. Even though your check on the turn disguised your hand a bit the only thing you have a prayer of beating is AQ. It wouldn't shock me if he rivered trip 8s here.

I like the way you played it I just don't think you ever show up with the best hand here. If he is bluffing that's a really weird line.

Set of 8's is my guess too. In hindsight it looks like his small bet on the river is a half 'I know I'm gonna get paid off' value bet/ half asking for a reraise bet.

If he's reraising with AQ he's an idiot, but that's the only hand i can see here that you beat, that could possibly make this type of bet.

If he's hit a set earlier than the river i'd be surprised by the way he played it although he may have been expecting to reraise you on the turn where you checked it. But it's not out of the question. Likewise with hands like 7,5 or 7,9 spades (I don't know if he's the kind of player that will call raises with these hands?), but they get to the river here as well.

I don't see how you can call this
