After the $30 bet on the flop, you have half your stack left. Since he's a maniac, I think you get it in here and pray. lol
If you were ever considering folding to any raise, then I don't think you should have fired 35% of your stack after the flop.
Since you did bet the flop, I can't imagine you folding vs a maniac with an overpair.

Thanks for the replies. I did shove, and here is the result. Just wanted to double check that it was the right move.

BB checks, Hero bets $30, BB raises to $60, Hero raises to $85.02 (AI), BB calls $25.02

TURN ($214) 4:diamond: 2:spade: 8:diamond: 2:club:

RIVER ($214) 4:diamond: 2:spade: 8:diamond: 2:club: Q:spade:

Hero shows T:club: T:spade:
(Pre 83%, Flop 8.6%, Turn 4.5%)

BB shows 8:spade: 8:club:
(Pre 17%, Flop 91.4%, Turn 95.5%)

BB wins $211

Take a note he called a 4b w/ 88.

Also "min c/r w/ the nuts OTF in 3bet pot" but thats probably less important :)

Has he min raised before? And how often. A chck min. raise OOP in that spot generally is very strong (unless he does that a ton, unlikely). He's building the pot for a turn shove.

Min-CR on the flop are not necessarily strong but min-CR in 3-bet pots are exceptionally rare.

Can i confirm this is why this is called a 3 bet pot

Hero raises to $2.87 [1 bet], fold, BB raises to $7.55 [2 bet], Hero raises to $22 [3 bet], BB calls $14.45 [NOT 4 bet as not raised?]

Is that correct?

Yeah when maniac slows down my radar starts beeping, he checks the flop when he usually bets whatever board is??? why?? I would have felt more comfortable if he bet big then check or min bet.

It's a 4-bet pot, my bad.

So is it only the pre flop action that defines whether it is a three or four + bet pot?

Obviously you can count the betting each stage but is the pre flop stage the one used mainly ?

ya, the positions/stack sizes and action pre establish the dynamics/SPR/ranges for the hand.
