Hey Scott,

You mentioned this hand in the other thread, so I'm bumping it for someone else to comment, as I'm not a cash player.

Raise more pre-flop, bet more on the flop... the rest of the hand plays itself out unless you can soul read.

Raise more preflop.
You should be wary why he still staying on latter streets(with a dry board).
Cash game is very dangerous and volatile that our stack/BR can be scooped in just one hand.

Is it something i missed? What are you doing at 100NL with 33 dollars? Were you playing your entire bankroll trying to get lucky?

If you're going to buy in short, doesn't that indicate even more strongly that you should both raise larger pre- and betlarger on the flop?

You're right yeh. I have an inherent problem in being scared of betting large and being a strong agressor as I dont want to scare people off when I think I have them beat. Cheers for the advice on the hand.

Than you should go down to 10NL or even lower. What you just said makes me think you still have a long way to go with ABC poker.

I agree, that's why I'm on here :D And yes BRM is going now, no higher than 5nl at the moment.

First of all i would have raised at least 4x since utg and cutoff had limped. Why would you raise so cheap and give the limpers such good odds to call. They are not going to fold anything there for a min raise.

after that the way the board ran out you would have lost had utg called your 4x raise so that would have been difficult to get away with in any case but there is a chance that both would have folded to a bigger pre flop raise or only tye cutoff might have called. But in any case the only mistake you did was not raising big pre but the rest of the hand played itself as you had to lose your chips to set of eights.
