$100 NL HE 6-max: QQ vs overbet turn shove

Villian Stats (VPIP/PFR/AF): 44/44/11

poker stars $0.50/$1 No Limit Hold'em - 5 players - View hand 554923
The Official DeucesCracked.com Hand History Converter

SB: $42.45
BB: $210.55
UTG: $100.00
Hero (CO): $201.40
BTN: $103.55

Pre Flop: ($1.50) Hero is CO with Q Q
1 fold, Hero raises to $4, 1 fold, SB calls $3.50, BB raises to $14, Hero calls $10, SB calls $10

Flop: ($42.00) 4 4 8 (3 players)
SB checks, BB bets $30, Hero calls $30, SB folds

Turn: ($102.00) 6 (2 players)
BB bets $166.55 all in, Hero ???

So villain is playing super aggro during the session, never enters a hand without raising so this squeeze/3bet isn't super strong every time. On the flop it seems pretty standard I think, but I could be wrong. On the turn, his overbet shoving range is probably something like AsKs, AsQs, AA-JJ and thats probably it.

Is his range weighted more towards draws? If its fairly even, I think its a fold right?

I forgot to mention that the SB is a huge calling station so the only reason I flatted was to keep him in the pot. But i guess thats not a big issue when we have so many BBs behind...

Get as much money in preflop as you can. That was a great flop for you and the turn helps very few hands call happily. On the other hand you could have made a raise on the flop. Flatting queens in a 4bet pot and folding on that board is nuts. If fold here you should have folded preflop.

QQ multi way is never a good move. Four bet then decide your next move.

I would pop that to at least 40, if he has you then he has aces or kins he's gotta push there. I would have raised the flop also, again if he has the AA or KK he's gotta push there I think. I don't really see a 88 reraise preflop so I'm not to scared of that. As it is played it's a tough call, I might just call and pray he has jj or 10s, folding has to be a option though. Overall play that hand with more aggresion.

Just 4-bet shove preflop, imo. Expect to get looked up by like any pair and most aces.

So what did he have? Did you win the hand, i'm assuming you did. If you didn't call the shove than kick your self, but if u did I hope he didn't have AA or KK. :)

Ya, thinking about it now playing the hand more aggressively would've been the best plan of action. I just wasn't sure if getting 200BBs allin preflop wouldve been the right thing to do cause I don't feel like I get it in good all that often.

For what its worth, I flipped a coin in my head and ended up calling. Villain showed KK lol

Flatting pf is absolutely fine, especially with the SB involved. I'd say it would be BAD to 4bet with KK/AA, but with QQ you're approaching the point where you don't really want to invite action all that much and might rather isolate it, so I can go either way.

4bet/stacking QQ pf is probably fine if your sample size is significant, but in general it's definitely a hand that I'm looking to flat rather than 4bet 200 deep without a read that villain is really bad. Shoving is definitely overkill; 'any pair' will definitely fold a significant portion of the time, but will almost always call vs a smaller 4bet. We also really want the SB to tag along.

Postflop is fine and I usually call turn (and raise flop kinda often). He's bad, aggressive, and his range is still chock-full of draws, overpairs, occasionally 55/77 and sometimes AK that's just monkey jamming.

A good thing to remember is that any time you've underrepresented your hand (in this case by flatting everywhere), especially against an aggressive player, you have to be a little more sticky postflop because aggro players jump on weakness. You've asked him to go nuts by flatting everywhere, so you kind of have to call now.

For him this is good preflop situation to steal the pot with aggression. There was not so many players involved preflop and board is very dry.Call all in
I hope you are playing in your bankroll limits
