Do you always just shove when you get raised on the flop with an overpair?
7 10 J board against the range of a BB defend.
He can have 2 pair hands like J 10, 10 7 suited
He can wake up with a straight having 89 and be scared of AQ peeling a K
On the flip side, If you think he's raising you with worse or even air, then you certainly shouldn't be shoving all-in to scare him away.
He could have a hand like KJ/QJ, and that might
pay you off if you're lucky, but you're more likely to get value from letting him continue to fire another street.
Ultimately I think the shove was overzealous.
