In this one calling preflop is ok, because you are in the big blind seat, so you are closing action and getting a good price, and your hand is suited. However A5s is also the perfect hand for a 3-bet bluff, so when you are comfortable 3-betting out of position as a bluff, this hand should mainly be 3-bet. But calling is also a profitable play.

Postflop you massively overplayed your hand. Sure you flopped top pair, but you have essentially the worst possible kicker, and the preflop raiser have all the real aces as well as sets in his range.

You went for another donk bet on the flop, and again you bet a little more than the size of the pot, which basically ensure, that you mostly get action, when you are beat. You did get called by worse this time, but it was a close decision for him, and he likely only called, because he had a backdoor flushdraw.

On the turn you overbet the pot again, which is another massive overplay. At this point he had made a set, and put you all in. You are beat here almost always. You put way to much money in the pot already with a bad top pair, and now you need to fold it.

dude you have a pair of aces and a 5 kicker on a drawy board which heavily favours MPs range. Pot control & play cautiously

Exactly. We only flopped a bluff catcher, so our goal is to keep his range wide and try to get to a cheap showdown. The main reason, we even call preflop, is because our hand can make the nut flush or a wheel straight, not a top pair with no kicker.

Check-call flop and probably check-fold turn. KJ has a straight now, and even if we improve on the river, we still dont know, if our trips or two pair is good. If he checked behind on the flop, we can check-call turn and check-fold river. We should not lose more than 1 bet with this hand, and certainly not our entire stack.
