$100 NL HE 6-max: AKs vs Backraise Deep

Villian Stats (VPIP/PFR/AF): 22/18/3.6

UTG raiser is 24/20/2.6
CO is 22/18/3.6 with 7.5% 3bet and 66% fold to 3bet and 9% 4bet. We dont really have any history i dont believe, but i do 3bet/squeeze quite a bit. Any choice but to just ship it here?? Especially since i 3bet pretty large pre.

poker stars, $0.50/$1 NL Hold'em Cash Game, 6 Players
Hand History Converter by Stoxpoker

UTG: $177.05 (177.1 bb)
MP: $58.20 (58.2 bb)
CO: $143.50 (143.5 bb)
Hero (BTN): $149.85 (149.9 bb)
SB: $100.50 (100.5 bb)
BB: $56.20 (56.2 bb)

Pre-Flop: Hero is BTN with A

UTG raises to $4, MP folds, CO calls $4, Hero raises to $20, 3 folds, CO raises to $143.50 and is all-in, Hero ?

Im a wrong to believe that alot of backraises at 100nl+ are 77-JJ,AQ type hands?
Basicly hands that dont play very well against a UTG raisers 3bet calling/4bet range but have about 40-60% equity against your massive squeeze range?
If this where 25nl im shipping it in cause alot of villains might do this with 88 or w/e thinking "yeah! flipaments!", but i just dont now about 100nl.

I'm not a 6max expert... i agree with belgo i don't really like getting this in here pre that deep...

but on the other hand...wtf else are you gonna do? fold? that sucks...

he shows up with mid/high pp's and AQ/AJ often enough to call this doesn't he?

i'm not happy about anything in that spot though lol

Unless utg folds REALLY well to 3bets and co is smart enough to both notice this and flat KK+, I don't see ever folding.

We're flipping mostly, but we're getting the right price to do so, plus he sometimes backraises AQs and other silly stuff. Someone who 3bets that much calling then backraising is mostly mid pairs.

gotta agree. what is the CO shoving from such a late position that he seemed to only want to see a flop with before?

looks like TT/JJ/AK and random mid pairs. possibly AQ. might even be something like 67s thinking in the off chance you have AA he could be worse off, and that AKs is barely more than a flip. Think with the dead money in here we have to call.

edit:

i dont even see how that can be TT/JJ/AK considering he 3bets so much. really looks like 67s~ and mid pairs. and randomly AA/KK 1%

Joose, I 3-bet around that often, and I usually flat TT and JJ in position preflop. My 3-betting range, and most others that high I'd guess, isn't the 7.5% best hands. It's the top 2%, and then some funky stuff thrown in like mid suited connectors, some suited aces, maybe small PPs and then J4o because it's awesome.

I agree that it's probably not AK, though.

Yea i tend to agree that this is almost always a flip and with the dead money i think this is pretty neutral sort of EV position...certainly not a position where you will be making a huge mistake (whatever you do really). As chuck said, for you to be crushed here there has to be a dynamic where UTG opens light and folds to 3Bs and somebody after CO is a spaz squeezer.

I think this is a call, its probably a flip but he may have spazzed out sick of your squeezing and you may be a 60/40 or better.

Since he shoved to make this a logical move with AA or KK on his part he has to know you squeeze light and assume that you will know that he will backraise light because of this. Granted people dont think logically but I would still consider it.
