$100 NL HE 6-max: 2PTK Facing Overpot Bet From Unknown Fish

Only 11 hands on Villain, but seeing as he limp/called button and already has a VPIP of 61 we will just assume he is a giant fish. We have Aces and 2s with a K kicker here and I'm kind of lost when he bets this big on the turn. I check to him to allow him to bluff, but he bets so large I'm wondering if this is ever a bluff. A bunch of 2x hands are in his range along with a lot of Ax hands and I have to assume tons of air as well.

I call. We're probably mostly splitting, but he's also going to show up with air a lot and anyway it's only 65bb deep so i don't know how we could fold such a nice hand.

You should keep your c-bets a little bit bigger in my opinion. Looking at the stats you have on the guy you should call and I agree with the previous poster, you are most likely splitting.

I dont think there is any reason at all to cbet bigger in this spot. Its a super dry board with almost no draws.

I agree, and villain's 65bb stack size is yet another reason to like your cbet sizing.

True, but if he's really floaty or aggro with minraises and stuff I might just pot it. Otherwise bet size is fine obv, but there's a case for betting bigger here to extract from bluffs/floats and weaker aces.

It is. It's going to be 97o more often than you can imagine. Not kidding. I'm not folding anywhere ever.

Check/call turn, check/call river. If he's not bluffing, then what exactly does he have? 22? AA? KK? AK? A2, or some other trips? If he had a hand like AK, AA or KK preflop, he's a compulsive slowplayer, because that's what it takes to limp/call with AA and KK preflop. A compulsive slowplayer doesn't overbet the nuts on the turn. If he has trips, much of the same argument applies; he clearly saw fit to slowplay the flop, why is he trying to push you off on the turn?

I can't fold this, no sir.

yea, pretty standard scenario. Ive been running so bad lately that I've been questioning even simple stuff like this. This time it worked out but I almost folded turn from being shown the nuts so frequently lately. Villain showed up with 43 or spades.
