10$ ring KQ with TP

First off i just whant to say i have litle ring experince and mostly play sng/mtt,but the last couple of days if been trying to play a litle 10NL.
With ok sucsess(only down one buy-in ).
Any ways im just trying to improve my ring game so im going to post alot of hands in the next couple of days and i hope u ring experts can give my some pointers.

Yay min-raising....

Raise this preflop, put the short stack in on the flop. Pretty standard to me.

Limping in pre-flop is *begging* for people to call you with hands like J/6 and gets you into a lot of trouble post-flop because limpers can hit some weird stuff. You should have opened for whatever the standard opening bet is, plus one BB. So if people are opening for $.35, bet $.45.

With a hand like K/Q you're happy just taking the blinds.

By my math there's $1 in the pot (a min raise and a min-raise after the flop???) when you raise it another $.50 more to $.60.

Valeriu2007 then makes another min-raise and you min-raise him back.

Not good. But after you chase the Swensen out, you can pretty much be happy playing for his stack.

I think the most important factor here is stack size. You can't give short stacks like this much respect. If he shoved post-flop it would have been the easiest call in the world.

Now, it *looks* like he's doing everything possible to get more money into the pot, but still, a shorty is going to do that with just J/J and all sorts of terrible hands. So you gotta do what you can (which is probably anything) to get all his money in.

Sure sometimes he'll be trying to be tricky with Aces, but most of the time he'd just desperate and is going to go all the way with his pre-flop plan to get it all in this hand.

I realize i should have raised it to about .40 preflop.....mistake on my half

I do min raise but it is equal to a push since he only haves 0.10$ left,doesent matter if i raise to 5$ or min raise only 0.10$ is going in the pot and there are only two of us left in the pot.......

I thing this is spot on,i seem to credit the shortstacked since they "cant/shouldnt" play suited conectors or small pocket pairs with such a small stack.
