Turn is terrible for us. Is this a spot where I should just give up (on turn? on river?), or is calling down fine given bet sizes ?

I'd be inclined to call the turn as well; he's not really that likely to call the flop with Kx.

What's he calling the flop with other than Kx

If we look at villains range here

1) he doesnt have AAxx since we block

2) he doesnt have a nut flush draw since we block that as well

3) we have a Q and AA and a J so there arent many high card combos that can call this flop that dont have a K in it and im making the assumption villain isnt just floating us with T987 etc etc.

4) villain doesnt bet turn and river with a Q

5) no one is folding Kx on that flop, everyone peels a street

conclusion, villains range is skewed to Kxxx type hands.

We cant call 2 streets here but turn call is entirely villain dependant. Im not sure we should fold since it opens up to people floating us, with that said i dont think against an unknown we could give floats credit. its a meh 50/50 spot but probably closer to a fold cause villain really cant have anything but Kxxx.

Also belgo, are you potting every street?

Yea i think its a common thing, when you have the button it feels so good to use it. It makes sense in a lot of situations too.

just something to be conscious of. It tends to lead to meh spots in mid size pots/ mid strength hands.
