So Im learning how to setmine properly and figured this might be my first hand where I did it more or less correctly.
I decided to flat the raise preflop as Im probably throwing it away to a 4bet. Though I only had 11 hands on the villain I had to give credit for a solid hand with his UTG raise. Im thinking his range is 88+, AJ+
I check called the flop because Im oop and I figure Im way ahead. When the A hit I was psyched as I figured it may have hit him and when he called the check/raise I'm thinking of adding A8 to give him 2pair.
As for the river, how do I get the most value? I'm nearly certain Im best here. My natural tendency is to overbet but I've been learning that this is not always the best.
Thanks all

Yes, I didnt post the river! A blank hit and I was wondering how to get more chips in the pot as I am oop on the last street.
My bad.

So Im learning how to setmine properly and figured this might be my first hand where I did it more or less correctly.

Don't set mine OOP. The pot odds almost justify it here but he's still got to be spewy post-flop to make it +EV, and 3betting with it pre-flop is always +EV. I'm not against the call, I'm just not set mining if I do it (i.e. I'm taking TT to showdown a lot when unimproved).

The other option is 3betting, but I kind of like the call here.

I check called the flop because Im oop and I figure Im way ahead. When the A hit I was psyched as I figured it may have hit him and when he called the check/raise I'm thinking of adding A8 to give him 2pair.

I like the flop check-call. We have the deck crushed at this point, the only hands we're getting stacks in against if we check-raise are JJ+ which is a tiny part of his range.
The A is a really good turn card. I like the c/r, but when he calls I think AJ-AK is a bigger part of his range than two pair.

As for the river, how do I get the most value? I'm nearly certain Im best here. My natural tendency is to overbet but I've been learning that this is not always the best.
Shove. $7 into $6.85, we can get away with this purely because the pot size is so close to the stack size that it doesn't look suspiscious. He his going to have a hard time folding AQ+ vs an unknown if he is a reg and if he's not, we'll he's probably calling wider.

Responses in bold.

You've baluga'd the turn, which is a sign of enormous strength if Villain is aware of it. As played, readless, I'd shove the river and hope Villain calls w TPTK.

Once you flop top set, you can consider a couple of different lines that allows you to start building the pot sooner rather than later, which would be to either donk or c/r.

The HH appears to be screwed up - it looks like Villain is MP4 (HJ?) and not UTG...
