My intention was to c/f the flop & pretty much play them as T/T if my hand didn't improve or overs hit.

Folding pre was an option I suppose :/

Well, pre-flop is fine, bearing in mind we don't have stats on villain...

Even if you truly think the pre-flop fold is actually an option (based on stats I'd assume), once you hit your top set vs. Kings, on this board, all the money will typically go in before the river.

The turn is slightly interesting, as any fold equity you might have had (not that you need/want it) vs. villain's hand is gone when they pick up the flush out (though two improve you to a full house).

In short, action seems fine, and occasionally villain hits a King on the river, and beats us.

l i think it's a fold once we get 3-bet by a lot of guys. We arent actually getting odds to set mine so i think you need a reason to call JJ to a 3bet oop here.

Its fine to call the 3bet oop if you have some good reads on him or something or if you have good odds to hit a set, but i probably fold a lot to the 3bet.

Agreeing with Acky; OOP and without reads on your opponent, maybe something like high 3 bet pre and low postflop aggression, it's gonna be tough to work with JJ. On the flop with top set, what ever actions you think will get the money in fastest against this opponent is fine. And I hope you're not worrying now about how the turn or river came out.

I had less than 20 hands on the villain so there was no reason to post his stats. Sorry, I should have mentioned about that in the OP.
I agree, a fold would have been the right play due to odds & no reads/stats.

I'm of the opinion that this was a hand that was gonna play just about exactly like it did. Nothing you could have done except the most improbable PF fold. Pretty sure that even if you shove the flop, CO is calling.

The question you want to ask yourself is; If CO shoves pre, are you coming along?

Stats might alter out views tho.

I do not think he could had done something else. I saw hands like this at "Poker after dark" with big pros involved and they ended the same.Set over set happens rarely. Not at Zoom Poker though. I wonder how long took guy with KK to call on the river.

Pretty sure you meant this as a rhetorical question, but I'll just choose to answer it anyway: heck no! LOL

I was already down on myself for making the call pre. Of course, I got my prayers answered when flopping top set. It eventually just turned out unfortunate.

If people are thinking they cant fold JJ preflop in spots like this then that's probably a leak.

^^ This

I've been having issues with JJ/QQ for awhile. That's mainly my reasons for finally making use of the HH Analysis on the forum. I almost always call a 3-bet/4-bet IP or OOP.

Granted most times I just play JJ as if it were T/T. ..I still sometimes end up calling & proceed to the flop without a clue as why I'm there in the first place.

It's a leak for sure. And thank all of you for your advice thus far.
