Villian Stats (VPIP/PFR/AF): 21/8/1.8

Can someone please explain to me how the hell this is in his raising range?? I'm sick of losing my money to this guy in what seem (to me) to be really weird hands, but I can't figure out what the hell he's doing. I'm getting off the table because I'm tilting like nobody's business now but I'd like to add a few notes to him for future play. :D

Villain's stats are over 102 hands.

I think calling ATo in the blinds here against a tight MP open (8%) is a lot worse than him showing up with T8s here.

You kinda cant complain about him having it in his range when you're calling with a hand that is absolutely destroyed against his range, look up ATo equity against an 8% range, its so dominated because 8% is probably something like 77+ AJ+.

So calling is out, ATo is a crappy hand and even worse when oop.

If you expect him to call a ton of 3bets and fold to c-bets, which a lot of these guys do i could see that being okay but i'd probably rather have ATs anyways.

I'd just fold pre happily here, but now that ive seen him raise T8s, and its hugely likely he will call a 3bet and just fold every flop he misses, i would always 3bet a hand like AT against him and expect him to just call with his entire range, even hands that beat us, but check/fold on most flops.

Fold pre, fold the river. This is a good reminder that fish do dumb stuff, all the more reason to play tight and be ready to go to showdown against them.

Yeah, extremely spewy playing on my part. I need to chill out on the iffy preflop hands, especially OOP. I was still really confused by his play though. Is there a reason that the 10 8s made its way into his 8% raising range? I know I don't have a big sample on him but I was still really surprised. :(

did no-one notice the river overbet?

he shouldn't really have an 8 in his range but I think when he bets the river so big he doesn't have many bluffs or worse hands he's value-towning himself with with that sizing.

he'll prob check back a Q a lot so I don't mind donking the river.
