sigh fold the river I'd say, you would suspect he'd check back most of his jacks on the turn/river, so his range is mostly Ax at this point. Otherwise I'd play it much the same as you, except my 3-bet pre-flop might be a little larger.

Button/Blind play in Rush is always kind of weird. I like your idea of raising bigger pre and folding out weaker steal attempts.

Any chance villain plays this way with a missed draw, particularly since I basically become a big pansy after my half-assed flop bet? TQh, 8Th something like that?

I think the problem with this hand is that I played it so weakly... which then makes it easy for someone to attempt a steal.

We block most of his semi-bluffing range (QT, KQ). This guy raises 34% so he has ALL Ax in his range. Can he have QThh or KQhh? yeah, but not as often as he has Ax.

Fair enough, I guess I just didn't wanna lay down my ladies from what was likely a steal attempt and a crappy 3bet preflop call, though I should have known I was very likely beat. I still have a hard time laying down QQ+ when it's not patently obvious I'm beat, and it's probably a major leak.

I called, and he had A4s, fwiw.

Thinking about the tiny turn raise... I guess it was obvious I was on a big pocket pair and non-set due to my pf 3bet, small flop bet and turn check, so the tiny turn raise was definitely for value and he felt he didn't have to protect his hand from any draws. Gained some insight from this.
