So I decided to take a shot at 10NL, i know its not proper BR management, I just wanted to do it. moving on. I'd been playing tighter than normal, and showing down good hands. most pots were limped, with at least six players seeing the flop. It seemed as though my raising the pots preflop was not appreciated. spudpoker2, the villain, had been in most pots since i sat down, and was fond of seeing how serious i was about any hand I was in. I had reraised him a number of times, and called down with smaller holding to find he had like 94o on a board of AQ922 or something like that.

Hero ???

Is this one of those times where beautiful cards must go in the muck? or do we have the odds against most of his hands?

hero folds preflop. If you have to play it, the raise has to be bigger.

I'm calling the flop.

Wow bet flop more. Really weird shove by this guy. I'm not sure if we have the correct odds to call this but it's really hard for me to lay down a straight flush draw

I've seen shoves like these with overpairs. I'd call that shove since you are quite a favorite against everything he can hold with the exception of 99 and 98.

I would have folded these against two raises preflop. The flop action has been pretty well described above. You are looking at a possible made high or low full house. You have definitely enough outs to call if you have him on 2pr or less. You only have two nut outs against a made full house. Personally, I like being ahead on the flop to call all in but he can't stack you and it might be worth a try.

Jazz, he was the only one who raised pre? I think assuming that villian has him beat here is pretty bad as he is made to sound horribly fishy and imo can do this with a huge range.. Bet more on flop, bet 40 or 50c pre and call flop.. (unless you actually think he has an extremely strong range here) even vs 3 of a kind you are what, 50/50? (havnt actually stoved but i think thats about right)

I think he would have loads of pockets in his range, flush draws straight draws, other random 8s, random 9s, he did call down with 9 4 on that board according to op.. and this play basically confirms he is a donk..

why would he jam with "loads of pockets" in this spot?

because he is a huge donk... we dont have stats on him or anything so its pretty hard to know but op describes him as pretty mad
