$.10 NL HE Full Ring: KK vs pressure of untracked player

(I don't know why it is titled $10 instead of $.10-Probally misclicked sorry )
This is his second hand at the table. Last hand he sat in the bb and folded to a middle position pre-flop raise.

pokerstars No-Limit Hold'em, $0.10 BB (8 handed) - Poker-Stars Hand Converter from HandHistoryConverter.com

MP1 ($10.50)
MP2 ($16.05)
CO ($15.55)
Button ($12.15)
SB ($4.90)
BB ($9.35)
Hero (UTG) ($6)
UTG+1 ($10)

Preflop: Hero is UTG with K

Hero bets $0.30, 5 folds, SB calls $0.25, 1 fold

Flop: ($0.70) 5

SB checks, Hero bets $0.60, SB calls $0.60

Turn: ($1.90) 5

SB bets $0.70, Hero calls $0.70

River: ($3.30) 10

SB bets $1.50, Hero?

-I am a little worried about A5 but in no way believe these are his holdings. Possibly could have 5x and wanted to see a flop at a discounted rate from the sb. I also consider it could be a missed draw like A7 or 7x. Possible a busted flush draw on the river. Ideas?

As played, I make a crying call cuz of the missed fd, but I don't think we're ahead - flopped straight's and turned fh's as well as trips sometimes play like this - fd's do as well, but I don't think it's the bigger part of the range from an unknown. I usually raise the turn in this spot to about $1.70 and fold to further siginificant action.

I think I would go all-in here. If he has a 5 he has to put us on something strong like 79 or a set if he calls then oh well that's poker :cool::icon_sant:cool:

Raise the turn. I don't know if it's best to shove or just make some smaller raise, but probably shove. The 5 is a good card for you: It counterfeits 86 (and probably takes away three of his five outs if he has an eight or a six). And remember that people just love to slowplay. If he has trips or a straight, the preferred line for most people is to get cute and checkraise.

The rationale behind raising the turn instead of the river is that a scarecard can come on the river that kills your action, and if he's drawing (to a straight) then the river will DEFINITELY kill your action. Either he beats you or he folds. But draws like to pay more on the turn, so make him.

As played, I shove the river. I think you're way ahead of his calling range.

Nobody told him it's titled $10nl because .05/.10 is $10nl

As far as the hand goes, my thinking was what FP said.

Thanks for the input. I wound up flat calling the river and he rolled over J9 of hears. I went bust like 18 hands later and the table was glad to have an extra $5 sitting around.

Raise turn big. That tiny bet is a "I've got shit all or a drawing hand" bet.
As played raise river.

You've played this hand too scared. When people make tiny little bets like that it is nothing to be afraid off. I pretend they never even happened and raise the amount I would have bet anyway. Less than half pot bets are not representations of strength.
