Simple question, how could I have played this hand better?

I was the Pre flop raiser then got donk betted from the small blind with a straight flush draw. I put him on either an overpair, a set (which is what he had) or pocket 5's with a straight draw and a small chance he is just bluffing on a low board.

Should I have raised the flop? I wasn't confident I wanted to run into a set here even though I think I have the equity to go all in if he re raised. I also didn't want him to just fold if he was bluffing.

I feel like I could have been more aggressive, what suggestions do you have on what I could improve on in future with these straight and flush draws.

I think I'd raise the flop. You are in the bottom of your range from the hijack.
He'd probably put you on a pair from 10+.
you have a sf draw with a lot of equity.

I'd raise the flop, call the turn and value bet the river.

If it was just a flush draw, I'd call call & VB the river.

Yeah, too likely to be out of position to play 65s, unless both players on the CO and BTN are huge nits. Also the BB fish is short, making this hand less appealing.

Raising the flop is spew, nice hand postflop.

I think that is fold preflop too, but when we see this flop and the villain bets I prefer raise the flop searching finish all in because in this point we have a lot of outs and some FE too.

Regards!

You fold out all the hands you beat when you raise, and you don't have good fold equity when they lead into you.

I found this quite an interesting hand.
I don't have any problems with the open; as long as it's only occasionally and that you understand you are going to have to bluff with this holding postflop... a lot... and know when to do so.
On the flop I just call and use our position, if I was oop then a check raise is fine but in position a call disguises our hand.
Again I don't mind the call on the turn there is a ton of implied odds, if we raise and he shoves we are in trouble.,,,,, but call with the qualifier that if you whiff you are either going to have to give up if he sizes value on the river or bet the pot or slight overbet whether we whiff or connect.
Here I would have overbet the pot on the river, same sizing for value or as a bluff and also depending on what he has seen you do.
Your river sizing got you paid because he was strong but it stinks of value, few players can let go of a top set on the flop no matter how it runs out.

The preflop open is okay if you were gonna fold to a 3 bet if you were out of position and call in position, on the flop could've gone both ways call or raise the turn and river pretty standard

Fold pre-flop. I like upswing, but their charts are way too lose for most players.

As played, depending on stats, raise or call the flop is fine. The rest after that is std.

If I raised that hand pre, in your spot, and we see the flop, as played....

Fist pump, high five, getting it in, or we at least gonna raise and V could fold. I don't care if he folds. Run the cards dealer, I'm all in. We have so much equity anyway, and bad turns can make V slow down and not pay us.

Yeah that's what I think.
