Is this play fine? After the flop call I figured villain had a weak ace or draw and thought he would probably call so I just wanted to get the stacks in and went for the overbet shove.

Fine until the turn. You only have 21 hands on this guy. I think the shove was more about what you want him to have than what think he has. 3/4 to pot sized bets FTR will get all or most of his chips in by river without scaring away the draws and weak aces. Value Town.

Why shove the turn? Betting 2/3 the pot is enough

I agree that the decision to bet the turn was ok but the bet sizing was not good.

By shoving the turn you are pretty much turning your hand face up against the villain, so he will neither have the opportunity to bluff at us nor pay us off with weaker hands.
