When he donks here he can have a few things:
bluff: I didn't expect him to have many bluffs here as why wouldn't he gain an extra bet and look stronger with a check-raise?
2-pair: I didn't think he'd have 2-pair as why would he flat with 86/84/64? He didn't seem like a spastic. He could conceivably flat with low suited gappers, but the only combos for that are clubs and diamonds, not a lot.
Set: perhaps, people like donking when they hit a set and this is a decent board to do it on. Not sure if people generally like check-raising or donking with sets
Over-pair: Perhaps
Some sort of pair: Maybe something like K8/Q6/55. Now that I think about it this makes a lot of sense. I didn't consider this at the time =/
Flush/Straight draw:
I studiedly didn't consider the 1 pair at the time of the hand, so figured I'd call flop/turn and raise river, assuming the draws missed. Not sure if since he has pairs if this play is any good. I was thinking of raising the flop, but that creates some awkward spots. I can't just ship the turn and he may do something aggressive with his draw which would make it an awfully difficult spot.
I'm a SnG player and make these kind of moves everynow and then. I usually min-raise when I do this though and it works because we're usually much shallower. Last time I did this at cash villain snapped me of with his A high missed flush...... So I thought I'd better go a tad bit more with the raise.
Anyway, thoughts?
