Villain appeared to be a thinking player, he had been the big stack for a while but suffered a sick hand a few hands before this one

Before he had played 67o and double barreled on TK2 rainbow flop and J turn, showed the bluff as well

My thinking on the flop was to see what he did on the turn with my overpair, I was a little scared when he bet the turn but i concluded he was either bluffing, had Ax, or had me beat, so I called and luckily he checked back the river. I’m thinking I called another bluff here

Also I’m sorry if this format is bad, im new to the forums and i play on BetOnline and have done limited research for a hand converter, as far as i can tell there isnt one for BetOnline? If yall have any suggestions for me lemme know. Much appreciated

His line makes 0 sense. What 4s does he have on flop?? A4s exactly? Does he raise flop on such a dry board for value with that hand? Probably not

Also with him showing the bluff earlier I'd call down

Im thinking the best he coulda had was TT or A4s, but in my opinion he woulda bet river, so im thinking he either was bluffing or had Ax thinking his high card was good on the dry board

Thats just me tho and i still have gills
Thanks for the reply

being scared lost value on river... you are underrepped

thing is you crush his range the only thing ur worried about is T but thats not enough to be passive

Villains range is polarized so you shouldn't bet river and should x/call. Unless you know he would play 10x/JJ this way which I highly doubt

Definitely just check call on river since the Small bet size on turn just seems really weak...

I play a lot on Betonline, do u happen to remember his sn??

Anyways, very agg players on that site like to reraise paired flops light when in position (not a bad strategy since too many players there are nitty). The turn is really the decision time, and him betting there almost ensures he does not have a boat...villain would almost always try to get value on the river instead.

As others have said, no need to bet the river. Check/call. Unless he shoves...then u really got a decision.

I think you played it ok. The only hand we are truly worried about is 10x. TT seems unlikely given the raise on such a dry flop. With your description of his earlier play, I can certainly see a bluff raise on the flop. With 2 pair on the turn he may think an ace is good here. I'm calling him down as long as its not an outrageous price. However, I don't see much value in betting the river. It is unlikely you get called by worse. I'm check/call

3-bet the flop. Especially if he's a thinking player, I'd 3-bet small. Reason being is if he has something, you're going to get more value. If he doesn't, he's unlikely to bluff much more any ways and you want to get value from his Tx and mid pairs now before the board gets screwy. You want him to "think" you're trying to outplay him.

I just read your bottom note. Someone 2 barrelling as preflop raising is different than someone raising a dry flop. But the note for you on this player is that he doesn't know when to double barrel or not. He's not a thinking player probably, just more like blind aggression (which is common for these stakes).
