My 2nd hand at the table and hadn't played with either villain before so no reads.

This is another hand where i've got an overpair to the flop and hands like this seem to be losing me a bit of coin at the minute, my usual line here is to bet out around the $2.50 mark on the flop, is this too much?? I get the feeling i'm doing the whole, building a big pot with a small hand thing but IP against 2 players I don't want to see any over cards on the turn b/c then it kinda shuts me down with no reads.

Preflop don't 3-bet a short stack if you aren't prepared to play for his entire stack.

To keep the pot "small" you just normally need to check one street. If you bet the flop, you would then need to check the turn or visa verca. Totally irrelevant in this hand though as you aren't against full stacks :)

MP1 onlly has a little over 1.00 left and SB will be getting 2:1 if he shoves and you call on that flop, ugly spot. I probably ship it in on the flop and expect to be called by A2-6, and A8 as well as Flush draws that we are ahead of.

SB has only $4 left, and MP1 only $1, and the pot is $3. With a stack-to-pot ratio this low, before the flop comes out you should already be prepared to stack any flop that does not have an A, K, or Q.

Betting $2.50 would be good against another full stack, but honestly, I would just ship it in, so the SB has to make a decision for all his chips. If he flatted 2 raises preflop with a small pocket pair and made a set, he wasn't getting enough set mining odds to do so, and you can stack comfortably because you played it well pre-flop.

Shove.

Pretty sure that's all that needs to be said here.
