I never leave myself with $2.26 behind when call makes it an $18+ pot. I'd just shove the $8.36 instead of obviously pot committing with the $6.10 bet (which looks really strong).

Since he check raises, you're probably beat. He can't possibly expect to chase you away when it's only $2.26 to win the $20 in the pot so he has to expect the call.

The only thing you have beat is maybe 8/8 or 9/9 if he thinks you're just c-betting, or maybe A/T if he thinks you were just stealing from the cutoff.

I just don't see most playings making a stand like that without beating top at least TPTK, and you are at the bottom of that range.

Ignore that last sentence. I was distracted by a 7 year old.
I meant...

I just don't see many villains making plays like that (IE, check raising to make a huge pot when you only have a little left) unless they have TPTK+, and you are at the bottom of that range.

Sample size?

Standard line for me is to raise pre, flat the 3, then call, c/f turn or GTSD depending on their WTSD, aggro

Im guessing you have about -100 hands on them?

Possible line maybe 4bet shove preflop. Given stats QQ+ wouildn't be much often here. Also he can call with low PP if you do that shove against his light 3betting often enough :)
Also, why c-bet pot size on flop? I would bet not more then 2/3 to make him cal or rise with AT, low PP, broadways.
In this hand looks like you beat by 77 or TT.

I like betting $1-$2 here on flop to let him jam his entire bluffing range instead of folding it all out with a huge c-bet.

He's 3 betting 22% and called a 4-bet so just get it in on the flop is fine he's a retard. Big c-bet though, make it smaller, half 3/4 pot.
