This is a very solid Villain we are talking about and I tanked for a long time on the river. I was almost going to fold but just couldn't do it. Do you suppose I made a good call or will I be more often wrong here?

The reason why I called in the end is that I thought if he has made a boat and he thinks I was chasing a flush he might have checked the river. But then again his bet is covering almost his entire stack. So in the end I really didn't know what he had just never put him on the hand he had. I had him on a set on the flop.

Nice call.I wont think a solid villain will call a 3bb raise with something like 10 9o pre.

Ya he never has T9 here because if he called with T9s he might donk the flop but is not check raising for sure.

I am only worried about 44/66 in the end.

I think I'm pretty sick about it but I make the call. Only because I have to be right around 3 to 1 on the call I don't have to be right very often. He could be value betting worse and you only have to be right ~25% of the time to be profitable.

I am going to call here expecting to lose most of the time, but winning more than 25% of the time.

If I'm going to play this hand somewhat like this I would rather get it all in on the flop, but that is villain dependent.

With this villain I don't have much fold equity if I play this aggressively after he check raises. He has a flush draw with a gutshot I don't think he is folding even if I 3 bet shove the flop.

I do not think he is that solid because he called pre with T8s.Playing one gap connector OOP is just spewing money. You never control the size of the pot and you do not get to insert the last bet. As long as you did called that river you might as well ship it.

I dont believe he has the set on the flop/turn.

Instead of calling, I would rather shove it in.

Well we all have leaks and weaknesses in our games. I also probably make some bad plays from the SB as its the most difficult position to play for a reason.
