Pre Flop: (pot: 1.5 BB) Hero has T:diamond: J:heart:

UTG calls 1 BB, fold, CO calls 1 BB, Hero raises to 5 BB, fold, fold, fold, CO calls 4 BB

I raised because of all the limping that's been happening, and not just with this hand, in hopes of taking it preflop.

Flop: (12.5 BB, 2 players) 7:heart: 8:club: J:spade:
CO checks, Hero bets 5 BB, CO raises to 14 BB, Hero calls 9 BB

Turn: (40.5 BB, 2 players) J:club:
CO bets 28 BB, Hero raises to 60 BB, CO calls 32 BB

River: (160.5 BB, 2 players) 2:spade:
CO bets 43.2 BB and is all-in, Hero calls 43.2 BB

CO shows 8:spade: 8:diamond: (Full House, Eights full of Jacks)
(Pre 53%, Flop 85%, Turn 84%)
Hero shows T:diamond: J:heart: (Three of a Kind, Jacks)
(Pre 47%, Flop 15%, Turn 16%)
CO wins 236.9 BB

Why are you raising the turn after being raised on the flop? All raising does is fold out any bluffs/weak hands villain raised with that might give your more value on the river (even some goofy played AA/KK hand most of the time) while bloating the pot when villain raised for value and is ahead as above. The turn is a call only, when is he ever calling your raise here and not have you beat? J9 MAYBE... that is all compared with all combos of QJ, KJ, AJ, J8, 88, 77 and 9T. You essentially turned your hand into a bluff.

The river you have to call, with the size of the pot, your mistake is the turn play. There could be an argument for folding the flop but that is villain dependent and with the gutshot I am ok with the call there.

Pretty much every street but pre-flop. But if you folded the flop when you were clearly beat and had no implied odds, you would have saved your buy-in.
