I almost never post a penalty blind in a 6 max game unless I happen to join an especially crazy table and this was one of them. I really should fold this pre but again the absolute craziness of this table was the reason I decided to call with complete junk.

I knew disaster has happened when the turn gets a cold 3 bet but I am just too committed at that point. Looking back I just played a terrible hand, hands like these should never be played even against the worst players. If I just call the turn bet I think I can fold to a shove since I know at that point I am at best splitting it.

I had been observing this table for a few minutes before joining it and the SB seemed like the ultimate fish which was the reason for my gigantic raise as I figured he won't be folding a 2 pair or flush draw. So considering this do you suppose this hand is somewhat justified?

dude, to be honest, i dont hate it. You have the second nuts and are drawing for the flush as well.

It's just one of those spots where he had what he had.

Unlucky and well played IMO, cause im probably playing it the same way.

Dont call pre. I'm not fond of paying the penalty but I can see there can be arguments made for it.

On the turn there isn't much you can do. I wouldnt raise as much as that but the money is going in anyway.

Don't post results...

more or less repeating but no need to raise so much OTT. you could talk yourself into calling at a table like this with the sb as your target and being in CO, but the btn is fishy too. so you end up getting sandwiched in between the two.

That said i would try and be a bit more patient, and wait for a better hand. you'll never see 84o turning you a profit .

Yes agreed the biggest mistake here is calling 1BB with 84o.

Fold pre like everyone else said. However given how the hand played I would flat the turn I see no reason for the raise particularly to the size you made it. When button shoves and small blind calls, I hate it and think you have to call given how much is in the pot and how 'crazy' the table has been playing but I'm not happy about it.
