Villian Stats (VPIP/PFR/AF): 33/9/1.1

When I played this hand I'm not sure I noticed the villain was short stacked. I know this changes things and looking back I'm thinking I was perhaps left with only two options... just shove over the top of his turn bet as he has so little left or fold. I'm leaning towards thinking his check/call and instant bet on the turn means he has to have the 10 which is of course in his range.

Would I be missing out on money here by folding or would I be saving myself from an obvious loss? By shoving over the top am I just willingly giving him more money?

First thing i would do is check how often he bets turn overall, and is sample is big check out how often he donks.

but looking at those stats it looks like the villain is a typical calling station, so I would fold this without any other information.

+1

As played, this reeks of a T in his hole. When someone with AF so far below 2 shoots back, don,t continue without something nutty

Bigger pf with both fish in the blinds, bigger postflop/can't fold turn (which would likely be a shove) as a result.

Fold turn as played.

I would've shoved or raised a little bigger on the flop. On the river, I would've folded. I doubt he would be bluffing the straight there with his bet.
