Posted these two hands together because villian is the same.
Villian on the button was a super fish also, running 55/20. He would call most bets preflop and I think this hand is played ok although in heinsight I should have potted flop and probably overbet shoved turn b/c he called very liberally if he had any piece of the flop. Is it ok stacking for 150BB w/ TPTK against this kind of player?

Hand 1

UTG: $10.00
MP: $25.95
CO: $10.70
BTN: $15.48
Hero (SB): $19.35
BB: $12.72

Pre Flop: ($0.15) Hero is SB with A K
3 folds, BTN raises to $0.40, Hero raises to $1.20, 1 fold, BTN calls $0.80

Flop: ($2.50) 8 K 2 (2 players)
Hero bets $1.99, BTN calls $1.99

Turn: ($6.48) 5 (2 players)
Hero checks, BTN bets $3.50, Hero raises to $16.16 all in, BTN calls $8.79 all in

River: ($31.06) 8 (2 players - 2 are all in)

Calls most flops and will call AI's with most pieces of the board. Checked back turn to call a river bet comfortably.

Hand 2

MP: $10.15
CO: $27.10
BTN: $10.00
SB: $18.45
Hero (BB): $12.81
UTG: $10.10

Pre Flop: ($0.15) Hero is BB with Q Q
2 folds, CO raises to $0.35, 1 fold, SB calls $0.30, Hero raises to $1.45, 1 fold, SB calls $1.10

Flop: ($3.25) J 3 6 (2 players)
SB checks, Hero bets $2.22, SB calls $2.22

Turn: ($7.69) A (2 players)
SB checks, Hero checks

River: ($7.69) A (2 players)
SB bets $3.10, Hero calls $3.10

Standard or should I fold the river against a slighty passive donk?

Hand 1. I really don't like the turn check/shove. Maybe it's because I'm not sure why you did it. Why did you do it?

hand 2 looks good.

Thanks for your replies in all the threads Pasc and BG made me feel more confident about my plays recently.
In hand 1 I decide to check/shove because I know he'll call if he has any piece of the flop (he turned up with an 8 which means my read was right). However my read was also he was passive and so betting could probably be the better line because checking to allow him to bet makes no sense against a passive player.

if you think he'll call if he has any piece of the flop you should bet. Checking allows him to check back and you lose value.
