Im having troubles with this hands espc cause of villians betsizing OTT when I check back.

My plan here was to x/c turn and x/f river if i didnt improve but his betsizing OTR looks so strong that I think its almost a fold. Only problem with folding is that his range that beats us is super small plus when I x/c turn I should have either Kx with NK or Tx with GK right.

The flop is kinda drawy, lots of gutshots. The seven completes the J9, but that's it. Maybe a good spot for the second barrel on the turn against a fish.

If you're going to check the river, it's to put the rest of his money in.

Also just move to the left of the fish. Opening ATo UTG when you know you're getting called oop isn't the best.

Yeah I prefer just calling with ATo UTG because you are then playing the rest of the hand OOP. On the river I feel like a call is a good play, considering the way it played it, he may think that since you checked the turn then the river, he can make a move on you with a decent sized bet. Maybe betting the turn would have been a better play just to see where you stand in the hand.

You prefer limping utg with AT 5handed at ring with 100BB stacks?
Thats pretty bad imo.
I think its Raise>Fold>Cut your self while listening to Nirvana>Open Limp :D.

with such low stake he could have anything, but by his bet I believe he has a lousy tptk, once he saw a pair of tens, he must of figured he had you beat, it's either loose. 30or risk $2.

I believe you had him, I would just call and not reraise on case he had a straight.

5 handed COME ON
Seriously. ATo is a Sklansky Group 6 hand. It has the same average win rate as A5s, K9s, and QJ. It's not a great hand.

Now we know we're going to get called almost every time we open, and we know this player likely will be floating a lot of our c-bets. Plus we're OOP, obviously. Not ideal.

Plus, if there's 5 players at the table, then there's an empty seat. We can likely move to a place where we can gain position on the fish more often (which will allow us to play a much larger variety of hands).

I'm all for being laggy as hell. My vpip/PFR split for 6-max was usually around 32/28. But getting stuck OOP with a marginal hand isn't a recipe for success.
