After I made the bet, I felt like I should have made it bigger. Villain is unlikely to have a 9 right? Can I get value out of TT or KJ/QJs with a bigger turn bet?

How would a bigger turn bet get you more value if he was folding? Checking could of got you more value, but a bigger bet, probably not.

Villain's range is crazy wide, as there are a decent amount of gutshot, Jx, hearts, TT, overcards in his holdings. Pretty standard spot to check to good players with the intention of getting it in, and value-towning players who are curious.

Note: Good players can become curious if you've been 3-betting often, or otherwise degraded your table image.

Note #2: Your bet size is fine. Pretty standard to bet smaller in 3-bet pots, since there are less draws in their range, and for a variety of other reasons I'm too lazy to type out.

Yeah this is a solid bet. Really wide range with lots of potential draws. You're giving draws bad odds but enough to be tempting, you can induce check/raises, you can get value out of QJ/KJ, etc.

Obviously, the bet amount doesn't matter when he folds. But the question of how much to bet isn't just about when that happens. .

If he folded to your half pot bet, then surely he will fold higher than that.
Its the reverse, you should bet smaller if you want to get value. :)

It's not a bad bet size if you were looking to induce a semi-bluff. If you don't think your opponent is capable, then yes, you need to bet larger on the turn.

If you bet small to get value, you get small value somewhat more often than if you bet more. But you don't realize the larger value you'd get when the opponent is willing to call more.

The hand is standard. For both sides.

I do not mind the size of the bet on the turn because if he calls the turn it is a shove on the river that he has to call.
