I c-bet the flop a tad bigger, maybe 12bb or so.

As played, you could make a small thin value bet on the river, but there's nothing wrong with checking behind, imo.
I probably bet 15bb or so. I'm assuming Tx or Kx would've bet the river after the turn checked through.

Nah, it's fine. He can be checking weak Kx like KQ or even AK because the J is a bad card for him (JJ boats up). Also, if he had JJ/1010 he might be going for a CR to give you one last chance to bluff or value bet your hands. If you already gave up, there's not much value from his betting the river.

Flop I just click half-pot.

Checking flop loses some value and turns our hand face-up. Hands like JJ/AJo+/QJs will still peel a c-bet, so we're not really turning our hand into a bluff. More like merging our value range. Sometimes 99 calls too if they don't believe us.

Also pretty easy to get bluffed off QQ if opponent is aggro enough and a good hand reader. I used to check back QQ here. Checking is alright if we have the Q spades. Without spades I'm just usually c-betting.
