Villian Stats (VPIP/PFR/AF): 29/21/2.6

Had to wait hours to post this cause of the limit of threads I can do in 24 hrs
:(... anyway hand is:

Villain is a LAG.

Hand sample:170

I didn't 3 bet him pre-flop even though he is a LAG cause he is raising Utg 4x BB, perhaps I should of done.

poker stars $0.05/$0.10 No Limit Hold'em - 5 players - View hand 2030467
DeucesCracked Poker Videos Hand History Converter

CO: $11.28
Hero (BTN): $16.45
SB: $10.54
BB: $5.70
UTG: $11.66

Pre Flop: ($0.15) Hero is BTN with A :spade: Q :spade:
UTG raises to $0.40, 1 fold, Hero calls $0.40, 2 folds

Flop: ($0.95) 8 :spade: 7 :spade: T :spade: (2 players)
UTG bets $1.20, Hero raises to $2.90, UTG calls $1.70

Turn: ($6.75) A  (2 players)
UTG checks, Hero bets $3.40, UTG folds

Anyway I decided to raise the flop because I thought his overbet meant that he has an over-pair and was scared of high card/flush card coming. The ace scared him away I think, but should I have slowplayed it and hope for a blank turn card so he can hang himself or raised the flop more or is it played optimally?

Vs anyone but a lag slow playing is unnecessary but in this case if we know he can tripple barrel in those spots slow playing IP wouldn't be that bad. 29/21 2.6 aren't really LAG stats on a 6max table..

Probably relying too much on Holdem manager which said he was a LAG.

My understanding is that anything around 30/25 and above would be someone more on a laggy side. PFR of 21 is normal Taggy number in 6max.. He does have a quite big gap and you should figure out why... Does he open limp a lot or does he like to call IP and try to take away pots postflop...

At the micros slowplaying is rarely very good. Just try to get stacks in. Wp.
