10NL 6-max zoom on pokerstars. Villain is unknown.

BTN: $12.96
SB: $10.00
BB: $5.00
UTG: $9.56
Hero (MP): $13.27
CO: $96.30

Pre Flop: ($0.15) Hero is MP with 6:heart: 7:heart:
1 fold, Hero raises to $0.30, 3 folds, BB calls $0.20

Flop: ($0.65) 5:spade: K:diamond: 8:heart: (2 players)
BB bets $0.60, Hero raises to $1.80, BB raises to $4.70 all in, Hero calls $2.90

What do you think about the way hero played this hand? I was hoping that the villain would fold to my flop raise, since most players don't donk bet with strong hands or hands that they're willing to stack off with, so I was a little bit surprised at the 3bet shove, but I felt I had the odds to call it off, so I did.

Reminds me of a hand I played recently (it's the second one here).

The difference is that my villain had min-raised preflop and c-bet the pot, which frankly is stronger than the near-pot-sized donk here.
Raise as a semi-bluff is good. Calling the shove is good too, since you do have enough equity even vs 55/88 (although in this case it's going to be close to EV neutral). Add a couple of AA or TP hands, and you have more than enough equity to make the call. And that's not counting the air in his range.
Giant bet-sizing for the donk screams "FOLD!", so I'm guessing we shouldn't be underestimating the amount of air he has.
