I am not an expert, but I don't see why you should have called the flop and expecially turn bets with almost nothing. You have 2 over cards (but still Q high) and inside str8 draw (so 4 outs there) on the turn. And they bets are pretty big.

So personally I would have folded already, probably on the turn.

You miss read the hand i barreled flop and turn with gutshot and 2 overs, Which brings me to another question. Do you guys think that turn was a good barrel card on the 8 with my hand ?

It's not very likely you have an 8 in your hand, so the turn probably didn't improve you. So what can you expect him to think you have when you bet? Seems pretty dependent on how he plays and on his image of you if any. And how likely it is that the BTN will fold better or call worse may well vary too. So how good or bad it was depends on what you thought at that time. Based on his stats, I'd probably check the turn, but this doesn't take into account anything else such as how he has tended to play post-flop.
