IGNORE TITLE

So im beginning to wonder whether its even worth 3 betting AQ at this limit. Any othe 5NL, 10NL or 25NL players here?

It seems in 3bet pots AQ is just always in terrible shape. Its almost like a 3bet bluff.

Check this out anyway haha.

Depends how wide BB 3bets in blinds. If he's aggro I usually flat because in position and also keeps his weaker Ax in. Btw this is just a cooler/bad beat you played it fine :)

not really, what can he call the flop and turn with realistically, AA/KK/AQ/QK don't know his 3bet% but hands we get value from are unlikely to 3bet OOP.

Its a shame you posted the spoiler so quickly. Why not wait until you get some analysis unbiased by having seen the result.
Most decent regs at our limits know you can only really 3bet from the BB over an UTG raise with qq+.
So when i was working down the hand and wondering what he could have I was thinking AK spades but then the K comes on the river so does an AK off call on that turn? Maybe...
So that really only leaves AA or KK and him also having AQ but I put that out of the 3bet range although I wouldn't totally discount it. there is a blocker known to us to both aces and kings. I can't see any other suited spade hand three betting you as AJ suited is the best available. You would have to be pretty frisky to 3bet an UTG raise with that.
So there are more combos of AK and AA that we beat here than KK so really we should be betting on the river for value and folding to a river raise. I think the flush can be discounted here. For him not to bet his FH here was pretty stupid. potentially he loses 30-40bb that from his perspective you might and we would have called.

Actually looking at that again we are losing to AK so yes check behind we only realistically beat 3 combos of AA. some villain 3 bet stats would be useful.

As regards AQ generally. Bet for value pre against loose players. Im not a fan of three betting tight players as its too weak to be getting into calling 4 bets with but the hand has tons of equity against all the pairs JJ and under. So in position I'll call and OOP I'll three bet late position opening raises. Everything is player dependent, Im just trying to reduce playing OOP by just calling with any hand to be honest.
