Shoving is going to be +EV provided he will fold something, anything really but he has to fold something.
Now people are saying that because this is a BTN vs Blind situation he is stealing a lot.
He steals 24%.. in steal terms that isnt a spazz monkey its fairly connservative in steal terms.. he steals sure, but he is really just opening any 2 playable cards.
That says to me (along with his 16/12) stats that his 4 bet range is going to be a pure value range. I would not expect to see much in the way of bluffs from this guy. Or to put it another way, why does he feel so great about 4bet bluffing
yet not feel great about "bluffing" more in unopened pots. His steal perrcentage could be a lot wider if he liked to bluff a lot.
The idea that his 4 bet % is 13% is unfounded. its 2 instances out of a possible 15.. its too small a sample to infer much other than he has 4betted before and he dosent do it much. Maybe he bluffs, maybe he dosent but you cant really say which from that stat over 15 hands.
Is his range going to include any hands he can fold? sure.. He might fold TT or JJ. He might even have AQ in his range (and we dominate that).
So all in all its +EV to shove.
Calling is always -ev because we are playing fit or fold postflop with an SPR so low that we have zero Fold Equity.. in fact the only time we might have som FE is when we hit because the A or K would also act as a scare card to lesser hands.
So yes go ahead and shove but this guy is not a 4 bet happy spazzy stealing monkey. He is stealing but his steal stat is the lower end of steal stats which suggests his 4 bet range is purely for value so when in doubt assume JJ+ AK perhaps ass AQ and TT to that.
