Hello community,
below is the action:

Ongame Network $10.00 No Limit Hold'em - 5 players - View hand 2103423
DeucesCracked Poker Videos Hand History Converter

SB: $9.63 - VPIP: 68, PFR: 32, 3B: 20, AF: 1,0, hands: 19
BB: $3.49 - VPIP: 0, PFR: 0, 3B: 0, AF: 0,0, Hands: 3
UTG: $11.92 - VPIP: 25, PFR: 25, 3B: 0, AF: 0,0, Hands: 12
CO: $3.39 - VPIP: 83, PFR: 0, 3B: 0, AF: 2,0, Hands: 6
Hero (BTN): $9.95 - VPIP: 35, PFR: 18, 3B: 4, AF: 2,9, Hands: 3487

Pre Flop: ($0.15) Hero is BTN with K  Q
UTG raises to $0.30, 1 fold, Hero calls $0.30, SB calls $0.25, 1 fold

Flop: ($1.00) 9  Q :spade: 7  (3 players)
SB checks, UTG bets $0.70, Hero calls $0.70, SB folds

Turn: ($2.40) 9 :club: (2 players)
UTG bets $2.10, Hero calls $2.10

River: ($6.60) 2 :spade: (2 players)
UTG bets $8.82, Hero calls $6.85 all in

Final Pot: $20.30
UTG shows 9 :diamond: 8 :diamond:
UTG wins $1.97
(Rake: $1.35)

My question is: should I had reraised on the flop against a tight player, if I myself have an aggressive image? Or were my calls on the turn and river the bigger mistakes?

Thanks for ideas,
greeting,
matefiu

I like the way you played it more than raising flop, river could be a fold but hard to say whether the guy is capable of barrelling wide and bluffing rivers etc, i think its kinda close without reads but probably leaning towards call flop call turn fold river when he makes it this big, people just don't bluff very much at microstakes.

+1 for flatting flop. A raise does get some worse hands to call...but with us having the flush draw and the queen it makes it difficult for the villain to have a huge number of hands willing to call the raise. We can also represent stronger hands when we're flatting in the future based on us flatting TPGK+FD here. And finally there are tons of cards that would improve both our hand or villains hand enough that he will stack off slightly lighter even though we're still ahead such as T,J,6,Q, 8h.

As played river is a fold. We have FD so it's unlikely villain is bluffing FD (especially given his turn bet size)...same with straight draws as there aren't many combos that have hit here. A 7 almost never plays like this and I think even a Q rarely plays like this. Narrows him down to exactly what he's got by the time we get to the river + a few TJ, T8 and perhaps crazy gutshot type hands. But he's still not bluffing more than 33% of the time to make the call profitable.

Next time don't post the outcome. I'd buy in full first of all. I would have raised on the flop. As played I fold the river.

hi youregoodmate,

why do you think, it is better to flat the flop?

It wouldn't have changed anything after you hit top on the flop and he hit trips on the turn.

I just don't like flatting with a premium hand. I know much more about his hand depending on what he does to the re-raise.

He might even have folded.

KQs isn't really a "premium" hand and why would you 3bet it as a bluff? I'm assuming its as a bluff since you want him to fold. Might as well 3bet a hand like K7 and call with KQs so we can play more hands profitably.
