I would definitely raise at some point, at the end at the very least, because you do have him/her beat.

personally i think you played it right the only place i might have raised would have been on the flop after that turn you are behind to TT 34 89 66 77 and after the river you have all 2 spade combos to think about so although your hand is good its not the nuts and he was putting enough in the pot to make the flat calls profitable.

Did you win the hand by the way?

Why slowplay?
Just raise the flop!
As played, raise the turn.
As played, at least the river's correct.

Yep, slow play at this situation is not good idea. Better play it agressive for more effect.
