So villain had something along the like 8s9s,89o, 33, 77.

i think you need to call here, and if he has a set its a cooler, if he has 8s9s you have the pot odds to call because you are basically flipping vs them.

only thing i would do different is 3bet bigger because mp called utg open, so it would be something like 1.20, with 0.90 you are giving enough odds for mp to call you down if utg calls.

Reraise more preflop. I don't think you can fold after the flop unless you have a good read on your opponent.

I totally agree, though it probably doesn't change anything here. However, I think you can probably discount Kings and Aces unless you have an absolute stone read on this person, that they would do that with those hands.

I think the only hands that make sense here for villain are 33, 77 or TT (and maybe T7). I probably would have bet less. In a $2.85 pot, I'd probably lead for about half pot, maybe a bit less (Probably in the $1.30ish range), and still achieve the same result. I probably fold after villain's huge check-raise pile.

At these stakes, I find people LOVE to check-raise their monster hands after raise-calling a 3bet pre.

Now watch me be totally wrong and villain has AT or something stupid like that.

as mentioned bet bigger PRE.
Raise to only 90c means 1st player gets 2.75/1 and next player 3.75/1.
Raise to 1.20 would be better.

Question on flop is you need 37% equity for the call
Against : -
33, 77, TT, 8s9s you are 16%
include 89off and you shoot up to 47%
Add Ace Ten and you are 57%

Yeah I would say just make it 1.2-1.5 preflop and smaller cbet hand plays a lot like either 89s, a set, or top two pair and I can see how you didn't put him on 10 7 because he called a preflop raise but this was only due to how he was getting good odds with nearly every hand usually a huge jam like this is rarely a bluff and the only hand you beat essentially that isn't bluffing is a10 or jacks both of which possible but in the minority of hands you win

Yup, raise more pre and GII on this flop all day with an SPR of ~3 after we pot it.

I don't mind betting so big on the flop as long as you don't plan on folding. Builds a big pot and makes the bet sizing on turn and river pretty straightforward. Just sucks you didn't catch up :/
