Alright so, I'm not sure how I played this hand from the start.

Here are the stats on the other players :

Original Raiser - (16 hands)

VPIP: 13 PFR:13

Button - (679 Hands)

VPIP: 33 PFR: 27 3 bet: 9

My first question is what would be the correct move pre-flop. I think I made a mistake by just calling, but the flop saved me. If I didn't hit I would have been in a terrible spot.

My next question is bet sizing on every street. I think I did ok, but feedback will help.

Merge - $0.10 NL (6 max) - Holdem - 5 players
Hand converted by PokerTracker 3

Hero (BB): $12.90
UTG: $13.59
CO: $10.76
BTN: $18.52
SB: $26.35

Pre Flop: ($0.15) Hero has Q:spade: Q:club:

Turn: ($6.48, 2 players) 3:club:

River: ($14.48, 2 players) 8:spade:
Hero bets $6.14 and is all-in, fold

I don't get why you donked flop too. Surely if you called to 'be tricky' against an aggy looking BTN you'd want to at least c/r but probably c/c a flop like this to keep bluffs in.

Easy 4bet pre vs. button, probably about $2.50.

Definitely 4bet as everyone else has said. I would also definitely check/call the flop to get the most value for your flopped set. I probably check/call the turn as well and then shove the river.

Makes sense. My thinking at the time was that an A hit at least one of them, so they'd at least call my bet, if not raise me, but I agree a c/c or c/r would have been best there.

Always 4-bet against this guy and happily get it in. Against a really tight 3-bettor, folding is better than flatting. I think donking the flop is fine, either they have an A or they won't pay you.

If they have an A then they'll bet the flop anyway, if they don't they probably bet flop anyway and by raising you kill getting any value from a cb, also pretty much no turn is a bad card for you so if it's checked through you can bet any turn to try and build a pot. I think max value is check/raise flop and if they just call turn is set up for a shove.
